ISS conducted meetings with New York based researchers, policymakers and practitioners regarding current discussions and debates on Conflict Prevention initiatives, particularly in relation to its linkages to the AU. Such discussion provided the ISS the opportunity to further engage and understand the current status of discussions on conflict prevention, particularly on how it links to current developments regarding sustaining peace, the 7 different reforms happening at the UN and the AU Commission reform process. The meetings also provided ISS the opportunity to disseminate findings of the ISS Reports developed on the emerging discussions of conflict prevention at the African Union.
