ISS employs two(2) staff members to the TfP team

The Institute for Security Studies (ISS) would like to introduce two new staff members to the TfP/CMPB team, namely, Mr. Meressa Kahsu Dessu and Mr. Onnie Kok. A brief profile on each follows below.

Researcher and Training Coordinator: TfP
Conflict Management and Peacebuilding (CMPB) Division
Meressa officially joined the ISS on 1 October 2013 as a researcher and training coordinar for the TfP program based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Meressa is a former Commander in the Ethiopian police service and was recently based in the United Nations peace operation mission is South Sudan. Meressa brings 20 years of experience to the team which includes police operations, police training and security research.

Onnie Jacobus Kok
Consultant
Conflict Management and Peacebuilding (CMPB) Division
Onnie joined the CMPB/TfP team on 1 September 2013 as a consultant, working primarily for the TfP program in terms of project management support, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and research support, and is based in Pretoria, South Africa. Onnie has 3 years prior experience in M&E at the ISS.
