From 19-21 October 2016, ISS/TfP supported a workshop undertaken by the African Union Post-Conflict Reconstruction and Development (PCRD) Unit to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the PCRD Policy Framework. The workshop, Ten Years of AU Post-Conflict Reconstruction and Development Policy (PCRD) Implementation: A reflection on progress, opportunities and challenges. The workshop, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, was an opportunity for the AUC to commemorate, together with its partners, the tenth year of the establishment of the PCRD Policy. It convened organisations devoted to the advancement of PCRD, to jointly reflect on what has been achieved and what remains to be done. The participants included high-level representatives from AU Commission – including most AU directorates – AU Liaison Offices (AULOs), Regional Economic Communities (RECs), Civil Society Organisations, Think Tanks, the United Nations, and Academia.
